Introduction:

The Primary Pleated Air Filter is a primary filtration device widely used in air purification systems to capture large particles of dust, fibres and other contaminants in the air.

• Filter material: Synthetic fibres or non-woven fabrics are usually used as the main filter material. These materials have good air permeability and certain mechanical strength.

• Pleated design: The filter media is pleated to form a number of parallel pleats, which greatly increases the filtration area and thus improves the filtration efficiency.

• Frame: The filter media is held in a sturdy frame, commonly made of metal (e.g. aluminium) or cardboard. The design of the frame ensures stability and sealing of the filter media during use.

• Gasket: Gaskets are often fitted around the edges of the frame to ensure tight contact between the filter and the mounting location, preventing unfiltered air from bypassing the filter.

Functional features:

• Effective filtration: It can effectively capture airborne particles larger than 5 microns in diameter, such as dust, hair and fibres.

• Low resistance: Due to the pleated design, although the filtration area is increased, the airflow passes through with relatively low resistance, which helps to reduce energy consumption.

• Cost-effective: Compared with higher level filters, primary efficiency pleated filters are less costly and suitable for large-scale application.

Application areas:

• Central air-conditioning system: as a pre-filter for central air-conditioning system, to protect the subsequent higher level filters from the pollution of large particles.

• Industrial environment: for industrial places with certain requirements on air quality such as electronic factories, food processing factories, pharmaceutical factories and so on.

• Commercial buildings: used to improve indoor air quality in large commercial buildings such as shopping malls, office buildings and hotels.

• Home use: some home air purifiers also use primary efficiency pleated air filters as a pre-filtration layer.
