Three types of Deep Pleat Air Filters

Filter plays an important role in our life, and the clean environment in various industries-medical, electronic, food, bioengineering, etc.-can not be separated from the use of filters. Filters are mainly divided into mini pleated air filters and deep pleated air filters, each of which has its own advantages. This article mainly focuses on deep pleated filters.

Deep pleated air filter, i.e., air filter with separator, refers to the design of separating partitions inside the filter, which can effectively increase the area of the filter and improve the filtration effect. The main feature of deep pleated air filters is large airflow, and according to the actual needs of the application, it can be selected as medium efficiency and high efficiency. Compared with mini pleated air filters, deep pleated air filters are adaptable and have a certain degree of high temperature resistance. Generally speaking, high temperature resistant air filters are generally used in deep pleated structure.

Generally, there are two types of materials for separators - paper separators or aluminium foil separators. Aluminium separators have higher rigidity and stability to better maintain the shape of the separator and are suitable for high temperature and high humidity environments, while paper separators are suitable for general clean environments. The separators can distribute the air flow to each filter media, making the air more fully in contact with the filter media and improving the filtration efficiency. At the same time, the design of the separator also prevents the filter media from shifting, which prolongs the service life of the filter.
