Introduction:

There are six main filtration mechanisms of air filters. For small particle size particles, the dominant role is interception. The smaller the pore size of the filter media fiber, the larger the surface area, the more significant the interception effect, the more significant the effect of removing submicron particles.

The most penetrating particle size (smallest dust diameter that can be filtered) of PTFE is approximately 0.075 microns, while glass fiber media is approximately 0.14 microns.

PTFE filter media is available in ULPA (Ultra High Efficiency Air Filtration), HEPA (High Efficiency Air Filtration) and Sub-High Efficiency filtration grades.
