Alternating Current Fan Filter Unit

Introduction:

In a clean room, the fan filter unit is one of the very important equipments, which is mainly used to control the concentration of airborne particles, microorganisms and other hazardous substances, so as to maintain the air quality in the clean room.

The FFU creates a clean air environment by inhaling the surrounding air, filtering it through the built-in filter, and then blowing the purified air evenly into the workshop.

AC motors have simple structure, no commutation spark, reliable operation and easy maintenance, therefore, some customers who have little demand for FFU favour this kind of AC motors.

Component:

1) Box

Its material is commonly used galvanised aluminium alloy coated steel, aluminium alloy, stainless steel. The role of one is to support the fan and wind guide ring, the second is to support the deflector;

2）Deflector

Equalising device for airflow, placed inside the box, around the perimeter below the fan;

3）Fan

Three types are available: single AC (AC/1Phase), DC (EC/1Phase), and triple AC (AC/3Phase);

4）Control components

For AC FFU, five-speed governor or infinitely variable governor is commonly used; the control chip of DC system is embedded inside the motor, and remote control is achieved with the help of special control software, computer, control gateway and network line.

4) Filter

Pre-filter: Filter large dust particles, non-woven fabric, primary efficiency net filter, filter net frame;

High efficiency filter: HEPA/ULPA (high efficiency/ultra high efficiency);

Example: H14, The efficiency is 99.999%@0.3um;

Chemical filter (Chemical Filter): in addition to ammonia, boron, organic gases, etc., generally installed in the air inlet, the same as the pre-filter installation method.
